Classic shapes, repulsive beauty and stunning creativity in footwear.
Welcome to Shoe Pr0n.
You won't find any dainty strappy numbers, flip flops, or gladiator sandals here. If you think Uggs or Crocs are acceptable forms of footwear, we probably won't get along. There are a million shoe blogs out there, but as this one is curated by me it is obviously going to be full of fabulous things.
Margiela.
Loose mesh boots. Oh, Margiela, always playing with the eye’s expectations.

Yellow toes. (I must own these)
I know at first glance these boots look like nothing special, but I am fairly certain that the cut of the boot makes for an incredibly flattering shape. The ankle will collapse nicely into gentle folds and the calf will stand straight upwards creating that 1970s superhero calf. In short, these are simple yet great.

Love them or hate them, these Margiela boots are a fascinating play on sexy boots.
Like a small child’s drawing of a high heel, the graceful concave curves of the arch are made awkwardly convex. The “sex” of the high heel is in the arch, and these boots have no sex. But I can’t stop looking at them- I keep thinking that I’m just seeing them from a bad angle, or looking at them in the wrong way. They cause a double-take every time I see them. Design that DEMANDS your attention? Always a good thing.
