Classic shapes, repulsive beauty and stunning creativity in footwear.
Welcome to Shoe Pr0n.
You won't find any dainty strappy numbers, flip flops, or gladiator sandals here. If you think Uggs or Crocs are acceptable forms of footwear, we probably won't get along. There are a million shoe blogs out there, but as this one is curated by me it is obviously going to be full of fabulous things.

I want to give you a quick update. In case you hadn’t figured this out yet, I design and make shoes. My designs are outlandish and wild, but as I’m still a beginner my handmade work is very simple right now. These are a pair of basic but cute shoes I made almost a year ago.
I share them with you now, despite being fairly unimaginative because I want to tell you that I’m off to New York for a few months to intern with a footwear designer. In fact she’s one of the designers I have featured on this blog! I will do my best to post regularly with interesting shoes, but if I lag a bit I wanted you to know why.

I just love imagining how much these move with each step. Kinetic shoes!

Prada.
What were they thinking? No. No. No.
Way to make experimental heel shapes into something tacky and graceless. There is practically nothing flattering about these shoes.
The first strap across the toe is too far back, which makes the foot look wide, and slide forward at the same time. The olive green bow is tied like an actual bow, with one string laying on top of the loops (they should have faked it to be a more aesthetic bow, with both loops at the front). The heel looks like a bad salt shaker your grandma had, and the yellow petals aren’t even close to the same tone or colour as the olive green bow.
Prada, you’ve always been good for some deliciously overdone Italian styling- and now, you’ve let me down. I’m all for experimental styling, but this is a failed experiment that should not have made it past the prototyping stages.
For Wonder Woman’s day off.
